Youth Opinions

During the Afghan Youth Voices Festival, we surveyed young people to find out their opinions regarding specific questions.

Over 80 opinions were obtained. We have presented the opinions across a number of results pages.

Name: Muhammad Iqbal Noori –Kabul, Ghazni (#1)
How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? I want to be a successful actor for my country. I want to save my cultural and Islamic values. When the foreigners leave Afghanistan and we Afghans become united then we will have a bright future.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? I see a bright future. Human thinks and if he wants to earn something he can do it. God says, if human want, I can make him like me, as I can create everything I want, if human wants something that will be created for him.
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? Nothing is impossible. If someone believes his dreams and wishes and try hard to accomplish them, eventually he/she will achieve his/her goals.

How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? In the future I want o serve my country, people and society and be a good and educated son, if the situation is good. Currently, Afghanistan is in a crisis and people are living in a bad condition.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? I want to continue my education and have a bright future.
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? I will try hard to accomplish my dreams and I want to have a good future.

How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? Every one represents his country in a different way. First, I love to be a good correspondent so I could hear my voice to people in the world and represent my country. Second, I want to be a good writer.
If there is security in our country and they don’t cut our heads in some provinces and the young people continue their education the future of Afghanistan will be hopeful.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? Dark
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? I want to have educated children.
Name: Abdul Wasay – Kabul (#4)
How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? Now I am a college student and have the citizenship of Afghanistan, so I think that have these valuable documents demonstrate me to be an Afghan. The future of Afghanistan will be problematic and we will witness more bloodsheds and crisis.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? The things that I mentioned above are very difficult to prevent. And I wish to prevent such accidents even it takes my hair to become white.
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? This program is in my heart. I will never take it out my heart. And will try more and more to learn much in this respect.
Name: Khowaja Hamed -Kabul (#5)
How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? I want to be a successful camera man to serve my people. And I want a free and peaceful Afghanistan.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? I really love to be a camera man because I love this field too much.
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? All my life I served my people and in the future I will also help them.
Name: Sayed Mehdi - Diakundi (#6)
How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? I, as an Afghan citizen and Afghan young would like to express my feeling towards my country to all people. The country that suffered 30 years of war, its future is in the hands of its people specially the young generation.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? I would like to have a bright future through studying and continuous struggle. If the situation gets worse and there is no more opportunity for studying, in this case the future will not be good.
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? I want to try hard and God willing I will accomplish my wishes and dreams one by one.
Name: Sayed Ali Reza – Iran (#7)
How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? If we study and learn some something and do our higher education we will be able to find a profession in the future and earn what we want. If we do such thing based on my opinion we will have a bright future.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? Through education and profession that a person has, he or she can achieve his/her wishes and can be a helpful person to his/her family and Afghanistan.
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? Until we can continue our education we have to study and accomplish our whishes.

How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? I, as an Afghan citizen and Afghan youth would like to express my feeling towards my country to all people. How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? If I will be supposed to represent my country I want to be honest and do my best to serve my country. I have a different idea than others. When young Afghan get together it is possible to have peaceful Afghanistan.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? Our future belongs to a peaceful and constructed Afghanistan and I think we will have a bright future ahead.
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? I will try my best to achieve my wishes and dreams. At the end I would like to thank all those people who implement these training courses and I want them to continue implementing such course and I learned many things from this training.
Name: Fardeen – Kabul (#10)
How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? I want to become a good photo journalist in the future and serve my country. We want a peaceful and secure Afghanistan. I also want to thank such trainings that educate and train Afghan young people.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? I want to be a journalist in the future because I like journalism.
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? To change my dreams to realty I was always honest, patriotic and serve my people all my life and in the future I will do the same.
Name: Jameela - Mazar (#11)
How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? I want to help my country, people and children. And I want my country to come out of current situation. If there is security and facility in our country then there is going to be peace.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? I see my future very good in dreams. I want to be a good photographer and serve my people through photography.
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? Indeed, I want to accomplish all my wishes through studying.

How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? I want to be a photo journalist for my country, so I could help my countrymen. I want Afghanistan to be peaceful and constructed. And I would like to thank such training course that train Afghan young people.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? I want to be a photo journalist because I love journalism.
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? To change my dreams to realities I would like to be honest and patriotic all my life and serve my people.
Name: Maryam – Iran (#13)
How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? I want to serve my country and society through work and continue my education. First, I want to show my personality to people and then through that I want to serve Afghanistan people. If we the young generation get together and work, Afghanistan will have a bright and shiny future.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? I want to change my future as is always in my dreams through achieving my aims and ambitions. My dream and future wish is to become a famous announcer in the world. So through this I would achieve my ambition and sever my countrymen.
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? First, I want my country to be constructed and reconstructed, because having a strong supporter like my country will help me achieve my dreams and wishes.

How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? Through hard work, struggle and improvement in different aspects of life we can represent our country. Having the young generation and young educated people today, the future of Afghanistan will improve.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? Having talents and struggle for accomplishing our good dreams and making possible those things which are impossible will enable us to have bright future.
How do you plan to make your dreams come true? There are lots of plans, such as, continuing education to higher levels, being helpful to country and people and serving them, and more successes in the first steps of the dreams and wishes.
Name: Abdul Jalil – Tehran (#15)
How do you want to represent your country, and how do you assess the future of Afghanistan? I want to work as an actor in the future. By having access to higher education, acting and filming facilities I would like to make good movies and documentaries so in the future enable me to attend in international festivals and represent my country. I assess the future of Afghanistan successful because the government is trying to provide young generation with education and work facilities and there is way for improvement.
How do you assess your future and what are your dreams? The biggest problem the young generation is facing is the lack of opportunities to appear and show their talents. If the opportunity is available I will succeed my dreams and will live the way I want to live.
